Explore Stockholm’s Mental Health Facilities: Exclusive Hospital Visits During WCP 2026
Join fellow participants of the 26th World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP 2026) for exclusive visits to some of Stockholm’s leading psychiatric healthcare institutions. This unique program offers an opportunity to explore the Swedish mental health system, visit specialised psychiatric facilities, and gain insights into clinical practice, research, and organisation of care.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit Psychiatry Southwest Karolinska Huddinge, Psychiatry South & Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm, and the Nobel Forum. During the visits, you will meet local clinicians, researchers, and healthcare leaders who will share their expertise and perspectives on psychiatric care in Sweden.
These visits are ticketed and require advance registration. Limited spots are available for each visit, so don’t miss out!

Registration Details
- Open to registered WCP 2026 attendees. Spaces are limited so early registration is recommended.
- Fee: €40 per participant – this covers bus transportation and lunch.
- Already registered participants will receive an individual link to register for the hospital visits by e-mail.
Departure Information
All participants will depart from the Congress Center, Stockholmsmässan.
Participants will be assigned to one of two buses, each following a different route during the morning visit. Both groups will visit all planned locations throughout the day.

Psychiatry Southwest Karolinska Huddinge
Psychiatry Southwest Karolinska Hospital Huddinge is one of Stockholm’s largest psychiatric clinics, providing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric care. Located in Huddinge, south of Stockholm, the clinic brings together clinical services and research activities in one setting.
With around 550 employees, Psychiatry Southwest offers a comprehensive view of modern psychiatric care, combining clinical expertise with ongoing research and development.

During this two-hour visit, participants will meet representatives from the management team, professors, researchers, and clinicians. The tour will provide insights into the organisation of psychiatric services, current research projects, and daily clinical practice at Psychiatry Southwest.
Psychiatry South & Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm
Psychiatry South and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm are two major psychiatric services within the Stockholm healthcare system, providing specialised mental healthcare for adults, children, and adolescents across the region.
Psychiatry South is one of Stockholm’s largest psychiatric clinics, offering inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric care across multiple locations in the southern part of the city. With around 850 employees, the clinic provides a wide range of psychiatric services and plays an important role in the organisation and delivery of mental healthcare in Stockholm.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm provides specialised psychiatric care for children and young people, offering both inpatient and outpatient services. With around 1,200 employees, the organisation supports children, adolescents, and families through comprehensive clinical care, service development, and specialised mental health programmes.

During this two-hour visit, participants will explore the work of both Psychiatry South and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm. They will meet representatives from the leadership and clinical teams, including the Head of Psychiatry South, the Head of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Stockholm, and the Manager of Process Development.
The visit will provide insights into the organisation of psychiatric care in Stockholm, including acute psychiatric services, child and adolescent mental healthcare, clinical practice, and ongoing service development initiatives.
Nobel Forum
The hospital visits program will conclude with a presentation at Nobel Forum, one of Sweden’s leading institutions for medical research and education.
