Mexico Entry and Tax Exemption Tips

When entering Mexico, all non-Mexican visitors must complete the Multiple Digital Migration Form (FMMd). Each individual can do so by accessing the online form (only available in Spanish) or via a paper form provided by airlines during your flight.

Non-Mexicans also qualify for a 16% VAT exemption at hotels by presenting a copy of their immigration form upon check-in. Without this form, the exemption is forfeited.

Please note, Mexican residents are subject to a 16% VAT at hotels, payable at check-in.

Your safety and well-being are paramount to us, and we are committed to providing you with all the necessary information to make your trip to WCP24 both memorable and secure. A confirmation in regards to those actions are found in the official statement of the Mexican Ministry of Tourism about WCP24:

Official Letter From The Ministry of Tourism

Mexico City welcomed over 56.3 million visitors in 2023 and hosted more than 50,000 business events, including 53 World Congresses. This reflects the city’s capability to hold significant international gatherings. Delightedly, Mexico City is ranked as the third most popular location for world congresses in the Americas meaning that your exploration and participation can proceed smoothly, allowing you to focus fully on the enriching experiences that await.

Still, considering the dynamic nature of travel advisories, we encourage all our attendees to stay informed about the latest travel guidelines. For detailed, state-specific information regarding travel advisories and safety guidelines, please visit the U.S. Department of State’s dedicated map which can guide you on safety concerns.
