Winner of the 2025 Geneva Prize

The Geneva Prize for Human Rights in Psychiatry is intended to reward any person without distinction of sex, age, or nationality, or any institution or association (governmental or non-governmental) that has distinguished itself by a work of regional, national or international scope:
- valuing equity, humanity or excellence in psychiatric care
- Reducing the lack of knowledge and discrimination surrounding mental illnesses
- promoting the application of human rights and ethics in psychiatry.
The Prize consists of a diploma, an invitation to a World Psychiatric Association congress and a financial gratuity. The award takes place every 3 years at a Congress of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA). A scientific or cultural event related to the aims of the Foundation may complete the award ceremony.
The Prix de Genève is financially supported by the Republic and Canton of Geneva (Switzerland) through the University Hospitals of Geneva, by the Swiss Federation of Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists, by members of the Association of Physicians of Geneva (WAGGGS), and by other donors.
