Films Session
WCP 2025 Films Session: Mental Health on Screen
6 October 2025 | 17:30–18:30
The deadline to submit a film proposal is 10 June 2025.
Are you a filmmaker, clinician, advocate, or creative mind who has used film to explore themes in mental health, psychiatry, or well-being? The 25th World Congress of Psychiatry invites you to be part of a powerful new feature in this year’s program: the WCP Films Session.
This unique session will spotlight short films and multimedia projects that bring to life the human stories, societal challenges, and scientific insights at the heart of mental health.

Whether you’ve produced a documentary, animated short, narrative fiction, or experimental piece: if your work touches on any of the congress topics, we want to hear from you.
What’s Involved
Selected contributors will:
- Introduce their film live during the session
- Have a short clip (up to 3 minutes) screened for the audience
- Take part in a Q&A discussion with attendees and fellow filmmakers
This is an exceptional opportunity to share your creative vision, raise awareness, and spark meaningful dialogue across disciplines.
Please note: The film does not need to be shown in full – only a selected clip will be screened as part of the program. However, full versions may be featured on our digital platforms with your permission.
How to Submit
If you would like your film to be considered for inclusion in this session, please email us at wcp2025@kenes.com with the following details by 10 June 2025:
- Your name and role in the film
- Title and brief synopsis (maximum 250 words)
- Congress topic(s) addressed
- Link to the full film (or screener version)
- Indication of your availability to attend the congress in Prague
Please note that participants in this session are expected to register for the congress, and while the program offers this platform to showcase your work, no financial support for travel or accommodation can be provided.
Let your voice be heard through the power of film! Submit your film and join us in Prague this October.
